The Adventure Club is a student organization on the Big Spring campus of Howard College. Started in 2019, the club aims to increase student involvement in outdoor activities both on, and off campus.

Club members worked with the college groundskeeping team to build a new trail accessible to students and the community. The trail opened in October of 2020 and is already beginning to see increased usage.

“We are fortunate to have access to the Big Spring State Park trail in town, but not everyone can make it there. We wanted to create a space for students and the community to have access to another option on campus.” Shared Mick Sudano, the club sponsor. The intention is to host student activities on campus and provide a great space to enjoy some trails without the need to drive anywhere for students who live on campus.
