Each year we come together to celebrate each other’s success in our graduation ceremonies. Below you will find our schedules for all commencement activities. Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, all three ceremonies will be livestreamed, and information/links are posted under the campus schedules above.
If you have completed the requirements to make you eligible for graduation, you will receive an email providing you with the link and instructions to register for graduation. Check your Howard College student email regularly!
Yes, if you would like to participate either in-person OR virtually, you will need to follow the instructions provided to register for the graduation ceremony on your campus.
If you feel like you should be eligible to graduation but did not receive the email, please contact us at [email protected] and we will direct your questions to the appropriate department.
There are no limitations on the number of guests. You may invite as many people as you’d like!
Students can purchase their graduation regalia (cap, gown, tassel) at the bookstore on their campus. Lamesa students can purchase their regalia at the Big Spring campus bookstore.
Students provided with information regarding their guests. Ceremonies are not open to the general public.

For student loan borrowers: It is your responsibility to complete Exit Counseling online prior to the separation from Howard College / SWCD. To complete exit counseling, please visit https://studentloans.gov/myDirectLoan/counselingInstructions.action?counselingType=exit. A hold on your transcript will be placed until Exit counseling is completed. Once graduated, your enrollment status will be reported to the Department of Education as ‘graduated’ within 30 days of the graduation date. It is your responsibility to contact their loan servicer for the repayment of student loans.
