Howard College Good Life Center

The Good Life Center is our on-campus food pantry for students. The center is open to all Howard College students and includes basic hygiene, toiletries, and cleaning supplies. In the same center, we host the Dress for Success closet which provides professional clothing for students who need to find something professional to wear to the next interview or class presentation. 

General information

  • Hours: The center is open during normal business hours.
    • Monday through Thursday from 8 am to 5 pm and Friday from 8 am until 3 pm. 
    • During the Summer, the hours are Monday through Thursday from 7:30 am to 5 pm and closed on Fridays. 
  • Access: Students can simply walk into the center to get what they need. No appointment is necessary. 
  • Location: The Good Life Center is inside Old Main in room 102. If you are unsure where to find Old Main, please check the campus maps. 
    • This is the same area where Academic Advising is located. There may be students waiting to speak with advisors in the hall and some inside the advising center talking with their advisors. You do not need to wait in the hall. To access the Good Life Center, enter room 102 and the pantry room is on the right. 
  • The pantry room stocks several non-perishable food items and some hygiene and toiletries. Choices are seasonal and depend on current supply levels but often include canned food, bread, peanut butter, breakfast bars, cereal, laundry detergent, hand soap, toilet paper, cleaning wipes, toothbrushes and toothpaste, personal hygiene items, and more.

Dress for Success

  • The closet also has a limited supply of caps and gowns for graduation that recent Howard College graduates have donated. You can get a cap and gown here if you need one.

Donations

  • Donors make the Good Life Center and Dress for Success closet possible.
  • You can use our Amazon link to purchase needed items that will be shipped directly to the center to stock for students. 
  • You can purchase items to donate and bring them to the office during normal business hours.
