For those seeking to obtain their Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certificate, Howard College is offering two fast-track programs this summer and attendees can complete the coursework for certification in less than one month.
The fast-track, available only on the Big Spring campus, will run June 1-23 and July 5-22 with students attending class Monday through Thursday from 8am to 5pm.
“We wanted to offer a short-term course for those students interested in applying for our nursing programs or for those wanting to directly enter the workforce with their CNA certificate,” said Luci Gabehart, Dean of Health Professions. “By taking advantage of these fast-track courses, students can save about 2-3 weeks from our traditional 5-6 week course.”
Upon completion of the course, students will take their certification exam and be prepared to enter the workforce.
The cost for the course is $670 plus the background check (at the time of this post). Financial assistance is available for those who qualify. For more information regarding program details and financial aid or to register, contact Crecia Little at 432-264-5649 or clittle@howardcollege.edu
