Howard College graduate, Shrey Bhakta, was featured by the Digital Higher Education Consortium of Texas (DigiTex) for his successful experience with their online courses. Bhakta received his Associate of Science degree from Howard College in 2022 and utilized DigiTex’s wide range of online courses to help fulfill his core requirements. A recipient of the Dora Roberts Honors Scholarship, Bhakta enrolled in an online section of General Chemistry I during the summer semester at Howard College, a course offering that would prepare him for his future studies in civil engineering at Texas Tech University.

Howard College partners with DigiTex to provide online courses to students when face-to-face options might not be available. Through this partnership, students are able to fulfill the needed coursework required of their degree program in a timely manner. Like Bhakta, many students who graduate from Howard College utilizing DigiTex’s course offerings can further their education at four-year universities like Texas Tech University or Angelo State University.
