Students from the Howard College Adventure Club recently visited Palo Duro State Park, immersing themselves in the rugged beauty of the Lighthouse Trail. The 6-mile round-trip hike, led by seasoned outdoors enthusiasts, aimed to foster a deeper connection with nature while providing an opportunity for exploration and adventure.
Hidden in the heart of the Texas Panhandle, Palo Duro State Park is renowned for its awe-inspiring landscapes and towering rock formations. The Lighthouse Trail, one of the park’s premier hiking routes, offers adventurers a challenging yet rewarding experience, culminating in breathtaking views of the iconic Lighthouse rock formation.
Throughout the day, the students bonded over shared experiences and forged lasting memories amidst the red dusty trails and West Texas heat.
